Meet your Trainers:
Cheryl J. Elman (USA)
President, Dave Elman Hypnosis Institute | International Speaker & Trainer | Certified Master Trainer
Cheryl J. Elman is President of the Dave Elman Hypnosis Institute (DEHI) and has spent more than a decade teaching, preserving, and expanding the work of Dave Elman alongside her late husband, H. Larry Elman, Dave Elman's son.
As Dave Elman's daughter-in-law and Larry's teaching partner, Cheryl brings a unique perspective to Elman hypnosis. Working and teaching alongside Larry gave her access not only to Dave's techniques, but also to the stories, reasoning, history, and practical insights behind them.
Together, Cheryl and Larry traveled to 17 countries (sometimes 2-4 times each), and taught together, developed DEHI training programs and products, and worked to preserve Dave's original teachings while exploring how his methods could be adapted to the ways hypnosis is practiced today.
Teaching, however, was part of Cheryl's life long before hypnosis. She earned her BS in Elementary Education and Varying Exceptionalities from Syracuse University and has now spent 50 years teaching and training in remarkably diverse environments.
Cheryl grew up taking dancing lessons in NYC and at the age of 10, performed in Carnegie Hall with her school, went on to love disco and even today, gets out on the dance floor at conferences. She was also an art major and had a mobile arts and crafts company for 13 years.
She loves animals and also has been giving her services to the Henderson Optimist Club for almost 20 years.
As an educator, businesswoman, hypnotist, trainer, creative background and member of the Elman family, Cheryl brings these experiences to her teaching today. She encourages students to understand the principles behind what they do rather than simply memorize scripts. Her classes combine solid instruction with hands-on practice, adaptability, humor, energy, creativity and the real-world problem-solving that comes from working with actual people rather than textbook examples.
She has also produced three major global online hypnosis conferences (86 speakers each), bringing together presenters and participants worldwide. Beyond her work with DEHI, Cheryl is an International Accredited Trainer in the SleepTalk® Methods,
For Cheryl, learning the Dave Elman Method isn't about memorizing the “right words.” It's about understanding what you're doing, why you're doing it, how to recognize the response you're getting, and what to do when the person in front of you doesn't follow the textbook.

Dr. Benedito Amorim Filho (Brazil/Miami)
One of his passions is being a Vice President and coordinator of Projeto Servir - NGO APRISCO. Dr Amorim helps to organize and conduct two humanitarian trips per month, bringing together more than 300 doctors, including dentists, clinicians, psychologists, neurosurgeons, hypnotists and other associates. They provide healthcare to vulnerable regions in Brazil, Africa and the Caribbean.
Benedito has moved to Florida for the next several years with his wife and family to where he is conducting a research fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami. His focus is on the brain and the research will be followed up by Clinical applications.
He is founder, CMO and instructor of Hypnotherapy and Neuroscience at Cortex Academy, Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and Applied Neuroscience.

Dr. Bruno Tricarico
Bruno Tricarico graduated and has 17 years experience in dentistry. He is also a hypnotherapist, content creator, and educator dedicated to the study of the human mind, emotions, and the science of personal transformation.
He holds an academic background in the health sciences and has over two decades of experience in hypnosis.
Bruno served on the committee responsible for establishing the regulations for the professional use of hypnosis in Brazilian dentistry, contributing to its recognition as a legitimate clinical tool in healthcare.
He was the first Brazilian to be trained directly by Gerald Kein, in 2007, one of the world's foremost authorities on modern clinical hypnosis. He later served as an instructor for the Gerald Kein OMNI Institute.
Bruno became an International Instructor certified by the Dave Elman Hypnosis Institute.
He is co-author of the book "Hypnose para o Clínico" (Hypnosis for the Clinician), published in 2012.
He has trained thousands of students and professionals through courses and events conducted in Brazil and internationally.
Bruno is the founder of Cortex Academy, an institute dedicated to professional training in hypnosis, hypnotherapy, and applied neuroscience. He loves studying and learning about human beings- their memories, emotions and behavior.
He loves his 2 young daughters and his cat, Snarf. He enjoys playing soccer, watching all the different Olympic sports, and enjoys movies, technology and traveling.
Interestingly enough, Bruno loves Aviation -the design and understanding how everything works. Aha! Larry Elman was an Aeronautical Engineer and Retired AF Colonel, thus, I still have 23 of his bookcases. Bruno is about to gain some great books and airplane models!
